Afternoon Vatican & Sistine Chapel Tour

Join the afternoon tour and you will encounter less crowd entering the Museums. You guide will lead you through the Galleries of the Vatican Museums (Gallery of Tapestries, Gallery of Candelabra, Gallery of Maps). After a slow-pace and enjoyable stroll through the Galleries, you will access the Sistine Chapel and you will have some time to admire incredible Michelangelo’s frescoes: the Last Judgement and the Sistine Chapel ceiling with the Creation of Adam.

After visiting the Sistine Chapel, as a participant of this tour, you will have the privileged access to the St Peter’s Basilica. Your guide will escort you through the passage and you will skip hours-long line at the Basilica. Your guide will bring you to the entrance of the Basilica where you will be provided with main historical and architectural notions about the Basilica. Afterwards, you will be free to access the Basilica where you can stay as long as you wish. Please note that the Basilica is not part of the Museums and sometimes, according to the Pope’s ceremonies, it can be closed.

By choosing this tour you will have 15% discount for the Colosseum & Roman Forum Sunrise tour. Your discount code will be included in your confirmation

“We visited the Vatican and St Peters Basilica we paid for a skip the line tour we had a guided tour with an English speaking Italian guide, her attention to detail was second to none. I was amazed by the detail and history it was a truly amazing tour, the best value for money we spent while in Rome. I would highly recommend everyone does this tour, thank you city lights you made our day.” GlennDebbie, United Kingdom

“Our guide through City lights tours, Emanuele, gave us such an amazing tour! Trust me you will want to spend the money on a skip the line as well as a tour. They have such great info and you skip so any lines being part of a tour group!” Ana C

MUST MUST MUST visit when in Rome! Go with CITY LIGHTS TOURS!

You MUST visit the Vatican museums – I’d strongly suggest you book with a company whereby you do have to queue – namely CITY LIGHTS TOURS, get a guided tour of the museums and then access to the church! – You’ll be given an ear piece & the guide will literally take you round. We had Raphaela & she was fantastic! Obviously you cannot see everything in the few hours you’re there but she picked out great things for us to see! She was very enthusiastic and born and bred in Rome. It is so overwhelming, I had a great time!
It was warm in Feb which is the low season and packed, I would not like to be there in July!
We visited on Valentines day when the Pope was choosing 20 new cardinals, so the church was initially closed when we visited but the team quickly changed plans and we really were not inconvenienced. We skipped the queue for the museums and church and they were ridiculously long so I am glad we paid the €50 – I would have paid more!” Milton Keynes, United Kingdom
